Bethany Gomez is the Director of Research with Brightfield Group – strategic market research and predictive analytics firm focused on the cannabis industry. Bethany has overseen extensive research on all sides of the cannabis and hemp industries, including market sizing, competitive analysis and consumer research both in the United States and abroad. Brightfield has developed cutting edge predictive analytics techniques to leverage social listening and natural language processing for highly cost effective and agile consumer and brand research.
Bethany has a background in quantitative and strategic research, specializing in the market research of the consumer goods industry. Prior to joining Brightfield Group, she worked with Euromonitor International, a leading CPG market research firm, managing the company’s syndicated research of industries such as packaged foods, alcoholic drinks, consumer health and tobacco in Mexico. She has also worked as an analyst and consultant on a wide variety of projects for private companies, nonprofits and multilateral organizations, including analyzing opportunities to leverage telecom to promote World Bank health initiatives and contributing to human resource strategic planning for the United Nations. Bethany holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s Degree from University of San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy, focusing on Quantitative Analysis and Management.
