Jamie Brown attended Florida A&M University and was a 4th round selection in the 1995 NFL draft. He was an offensive lineman in the NFL for 5 years, playing with the Denver Broncos, San Francisco 49ers, and Washington Redskins; he won Super Bowl XXXII as a member of the Broncos.
Upon retirement, Brown struggled with severe bouts of depression and residual pain from his playing days. Thanks to his size and strength though, he was able to find work in Executive Protection Services, providing security for many celebrities in the entertainment industry.
In the years that followed, Brown continued to seek relief for his ongoing struggles with depression and pain until he discovered the medicinal benefits of cannabis. After researching its therapeutic properties, and experiencing many of them firsthand, Brown discovered a new passion in life. He has since become an outspoken supporter of cannabis, dedicating much of his time to advocating for the expansion of cannabis research and education. Brown became an ambassador of Athletes For Care in late 2017 and continues to fight for increased access to cannabis as a representative of the organization.
